SmartDraw's Jira report data visualizer allows you to generate reports from your Jira data including PI boards, product roadmaps, epic dependency, and blocking issue.
Click the + icon to switch the SmartPanel into the Insert Content view.
Once on the Insert Content view, select the Add Data Visualizer section and click on Jira Reports.
There are four different reports you can generate using the Jira Report Data Visualizer.
The first time you select a report, you'll be asked to connect to your Atlassian account. Once connected, you can just generate any report.
The PI board will give management visibility into dependencies and highlights potential risks to delivering a project on time.
Start by clicking the PI Board icon.
To generate a PI board, you'll be able to pick a project and choose the sprints you want to include.
You will also need to specify how your team information is stored in Jira. By default, SmartDraw assumes Components are used to represent teams. You can also choose Project, Team, or a custom field unique to your instance.
Finally, choose what types of issues you want to include in your PI board.
Product roadmaps are useful for seeing when new features and functionality will ship at a high level.
Click the Product Roadmap icon to generate one using your Jira data.
In the next dialog, you'll be able to pick a project and program increments. SmartDraw will read your Jira data and present you with the projects you can select from.
Once you selected a project, SmartDraw will auto-populate a drop-down of options for program increments.
SmartDraw also needs to know how your team information is stored in Jira. By default, SmartDraw assumes Components are used to represent teams. You can also choose Project, Team, or a custom field unique to your instance.
The epic dependency report will show you all the issues and their dependencies for a single Epic. This report allows organizations to see what is blocking the Epic's stories from being completed as planned.
Start by clicking the Epic Dependency icon.
Next, provide an issue key for the Epic you want to center this report around.
Finally, specify the type of dependencies or links you want to show. You can choose from Blocks, Clones, Duplicates, Problem, or Relates. By default, Blocks will be selected.
The blocking issue report will let you see potential bottlenecks that could be slowing down your team at the issue level.
Start by clicking the Blocking Issue icon in the Jira Reports Data Visualizer.
In the following dialog, enter the issue key you want to report on.
